About Patrick Coughlin
I have been at Washington Community High School for 21 years serving as Counselor for students last name O-Z for 15 years and then when WCHS added a fourth counselor my students were changed to last names S-Z .
I received my Bachelors Degree from Illinois State University in 1983 in Special Education. I taught in District #150 for 5 years at The Peoria Developmental Center from here I taught at Raymond School in Bloomington, Illinois for 2 years. While teaching Special Education I earned my Masters Degree from Illinois State University in 1989 in the field of Counselor Education. My first counseling position was at Galena High School in Galena, Illinois, I served at Galena for four years and then took my current position at Washington Community High School.
I have been married to my wife Karen for 26 years and we have two children, a daughter Lauren (25) and a son Coady (22)
We also have two grandchildren, one granddaughter Kylie (6) and one grandson Gavin (2)
My plans are to retire after 35 years in education after the 2016-2017 school year.
